Heating

The warming of a room or building by a furnace or another source of energy with the use of radiators or air vents connected by pipes or ducts.

Forced Hot Air Heating
At B.A.C, we offer a variety of different heating solutions for all forced hot air and hydronic home heating applications. Our forced hot air abilities include the basic 80% efficient natural gas/propane/ oil furnace replacement, high efficiency/direct venting natural gas or propane upgrades, and heat pump add-ons for hybrid heating.

For those customers in need of an affordable and reliable replacement for their existing, aging system; we offer high efficiency/ direct venting, natural gas, or propane upgrades.

For those interested in cutting their energy bills, while reducing their carbon foot print by limiting their dependency on fuel deliveries, oil or propane to gas conversions are available for those wanting to enjoy the ease and reliability of natural gas.

Oil or propane replacements with heat pump add-ons are available for hybrid heating for those customers wanting to limit their dependency on fuel deliveries, where natural gas is not available, but are still interested in money saving options to limit their fossil fuel dependency, while enjoying the added luxury of central cooling.

Conventional heat pump systems are available for customers, with electric radiant heating or hydronic oil/propane heating, that are hoping to reduce their electric, oil, or propane bills, while adding the luxury of central cooling.

Hanging Space Heaters
To help maintain efficient & comfortable heating temperatures in your garage, work shop, or any other storage facility. From maintaining a comfortable work environment in your manufacturing plant to keeping the Winter chill out of your residential home garage, Hanging Space Heaters come in a wide variety of heating options such as gas, propane, electric or hydronic systems to satisfy almost every design application.

Steam
For those customers looking for a reliable and affordable service, maintenance, or replacement of their current oil, gas, or propane fired steam boiler with cast iron radiators, at BA Colella, not only do we understand the dynamics of these steam systems, but enjoy the challenges of keeping these antiquated systems operating at their maximum potential.

Hydronics
In addition to steam boilers, BA Colella installs, maintains, and services oil, gas, and propane fired hydronic boilers that rely on conventional baseboard tubing or a more modern radiant tubing for heat distribution. With boilers ranging from the 80 to the 96% efficiency, we can satisfy the most energy conscious to the most budget minded consumer.

Hot Water Heaters
We can provide and install water heaters ranging from standard natural gas, 30 through 80 gallon, Hot Water Heaters to more energy efficient Tank-less Hot Water Heaters supplying you with nearly endless hot water when you need it!

Heating Maintenance Plan Visit
At BAC we will schedule and perform your season maintenance in months prior to Winter, to ensure proper operation and reliability. Some examples of what we do while on the maintenance call:

• Inspect pilot, burner, and heat exchanger assembly
• Inspect fuel supply and pressure
• Inspect relay, fan, and limit switch operations
• Inspect and oil blower motor/assembly
• Test thermostat
• Standard filter replacement
• Check all safety controls
• Start up and test central humidifier for the season.
• Check flue venting and combustion air intake
• Clean dust & debris from all components

Cooling

The removal of heat from indoor air for thermal comfort.

Central Air Conditioning
We offer a wide variety of cooling systems to satisfy cooling requirements in almost any application, from your typical cape style home to your office server room.

In new construction or in an existing home/office, install a new Central Air conditioning system that uses a duct system to distribute cool air throughout the space. These systems range from, a 13 SEER, single-stage, system (the most basic and affordable for reliable cooling) to a 20 SEER, 2-stage, system (the more sophisticated energy efficient for the energy conscious consumer).

Duct Work
Ducts are used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning to deliver and remove air. These needed airflows include, supply air, return air, and exhaust air. Ducts also deliver ventilation air, most commonly part of the supply air. As such, air ducts are one method of ensuring acceptable indoor air quality as well as thermal comfort.

Ductwork is often referred to as a duct system.

Controls
We offer "Zone Control Systems" to thermostatically satisfy multiple living areas providing increased comfort, control and efficiency of your existing Forced Air Central Heating and/or Cooling system. This is an ideal remedy for homes or businesses dealing with uncomfortable and annoying temperature disparities. Most controls can adapt to existing duct systems to minimize installation costs.

Ductless Split Systems
Ductless split systems are similar to conventional cooling except that they use a wall mounted fan console to distribute the air directly into a room.

Cooling Maintenance Plan Visit
At BAC we will schedule and perform your season maintenance in months prior to Summer, to ensure proper operation and reliability. Some examples of what we do while on the maintenance call:

• Refrigerant level check
• Standard filter replacement
• Inspect and tighten wire connections
• Calibrate the thermostat for accurate temperature control
• Lubricate the condenser fan motor
• Hose down the condenser coil
• Check indoor fan controls
• Lubricate the indoor fan motor
• Check all safety controls
• Inspect the condensate drain and clear the trap if accessible
• Shut down your central humidifier for the season
• Check the contactor for electrical pitting and wear
• Clean dust & debris from all components

Ventilation

The process of "changing" or replacing air in any space to control temperature or remove any combination of moisture, odors, smoke, heat, dust, airborne bacteria or carbon dioxide, and to replenish oxygen. Ventilation includes both the exchange of air with the outside as well as circulation of air within the building. It is one of the most important factors for maintaining acceptable indoor air quality in buildings.

Humidification/Dehumidification
We can provide your home or business with an auto controlled system that will maintain accurate and balanced humidity comfort levels throughout your home or business. To add humidity to any dry environment we offer stand alone or self contained humidifiers designed especially for installation in homes with radiant or baseboard heating; sized to fit in closets, heated crawl spaces, and basements. In addition, we offer duct mounted humidifiers that use the forced warm air furnace blower to move air through a water panel where the humidification process occurs; humidified air is then distributed to the home or office.

Refrigeration

A process in which work is done to move heat from one location to another.

We are able to design, install, and service a wide variety of refrigeration systems from your custom- crafted home wine cellar to your restaurant/ kitchen walk-in freezer box.
